City of Torrance - Planning Commission

Governing Code: Division 1, Chapter 3, Article 1, Sections 13.1.1 13.1.8

The Commission is primarily concerned with the orderly growth of the community. To this end, the Commission works with the Community Development Department in the preparation of master plans and zoning studies that affect the growth and development of Torrance. The Commission conducts public hearings on precise plans, conditional use permits, subdivision maps, and other cases relative to land use, and makes recommendations to the City Council on zone changes and variances.
