Building & Safety The Building and Safety Department is responsible for the issuance of permits, checking of plans and inspection of all construction on private property in the City.  In addition, Building and Safety offers a variety of code enforcement services in the community. Responsibilities of the Building and Safety Department include:  

Issuance of Building Permits Review of construction plans Inspection of building, plumbing, mechanical, electrical construction Commercial sign review and inspection

Grading inspection Nuisance, property maintenance and zoning code enforcement Airport Noise Abatement Community Noise enforcement Oil Well site maintenance
